An elderly man has been flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries following an assault in Drysdale, a suburb of Geelong. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, prompting an immediate response from emergency services.
Details of the Incident
Police were called to a residence on St Leonards Road around 6:30 pm after reports of an assault. Upon arrival, they found a man in his 70s suffering from serious injuries. The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics before being airlifted to The Alfred hospital in Melbourne for further treatment.
The man’s condition remains critical, and he is currently under intensive care. Authorities have not yet disclosed the exact nature of the injuries, but they are believed to be life-threatening.
