Man treated for smoke inhalation after Perth house fire

A man has been treated for smoke inhalation, and a house has been completely destroyed following a blaze in Perth’s northern suburbs on Monday evening. Emergency services responded to a house fire on Rupara Circle in Quinns Rocks shortly before 4:30pm.

Fire Response and Damage

Firefighters managed to bring the fire under control and extinguish the flames, but a man in his 40s required medical treatment for smoke inhalation. Crews remained at the scene overnight, continuing to patrol and mop up the area. The home sustained extensive damage, with the roof collapsing inward.

Smoke Alert and Safety Warnings

A smoke alert was issued and remained in effect until 7:00am the following morning. Residents in the vicinity were urged to stay indoors, keep doors and windows closed, and switch off air conditioning systems to avoid exposure to smoke. Smoke was also visible over Marmion Avenue, prompting motorists to reduce speed and drive with caution.
