Mayor Thompson, an avid cyclist, said he wanted to lead by example and show the community how important it is to get involved. "Childhood cancer affects far too many families in our region, and we all need to do our bit to help," he said. The mayor has been training for weeks to prepare for the ride, which will cover over 100 kilometres.
