Man Charged After Child Abuse Material Seized at Kariong

A 34-year-old man has been charged after police allegedly seized child abuse material during a raid at a home in Kariong, on the New South Wales Central Coast.

Details of the Operation

Officers from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad executed a search warrant at a residence on Kariong Road around 8am on Thursday. During the search, police allegedly located and seized electronic devices containing child abuse material.

The man was arrested at the scene and taken to Gosford Police Station, where he was charged with possessing child abuse material and using a carriage service to access child abuse material.

Court Appearance

He was refused bail and appeared before Gosford Local Court on Friday, where the matter was adjourned to a later date.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information that could assist to contact Crime Stoppers.
