Running with Thieves, the acclaimed Fremantle brewery, has announced plans to open a brand new hospitality venue in Henderson, Western Australia, set to welcome guests in late May. This marks the first venue of its kind in the area, which is expected to experience significant growth in the coming years due to the arrival of AUKUS submarines and personnel.
New Venue Details
The new establishment, located on Quill Way, will feature a family-friendly bar and restaurant complete with a large children's playground and a grassy area. A spacious beer garden will span both indoor and outdoor sections, while an upstairs balcony offers stunning ocean views for defence personnel and local residents alike.
Additional Amenities
Beyond being a perfect spot for an afternoon drink, the Quill Way location will also house a drive-through coffee and breakfast joint, making it a convenient stop for workers commuting to the Henderson Defence Precinct. A drive-through bottle shop will allow locals to purchase their favourite Running with Thieves beers without leaving their cars.
Excitement from Management
Venue manager Marcus McQueen expressed the team's enthusiasm about expanding into Henderson. "You can expect a welcoming, friendly vibe from day one," he told PerthNow. "Henderson is a watershed moment for the region, and the next 20 years are looking very bright."
Robert Engelhard, director of Scope Property Group, echoed this excitement. "This is a key step in activating Henderson Business Hub," he said. "(The new venue) is introducing the kind of hospitality and social infrastructure the precinct has been long missing."
Grand Opening
Running with Thieves' Henderson location will host its grand opening at 3pm on Friday, 22 May, featuring live music and giveaways.
