UK Couple's Dream Elopement on Yanchep Beach with Family Touches
UK Couple Elope in Intimate Yanchep Beach Ceremony

A Transcontinental Love Story Finds Its Home on a Perth Beach

In a beautiful act of intimacy, UK couple Shayni Sharpe, 33, and Steven Mann, 34, decided to forgo a large traditional wedding and instead eloped to the picturesque shores of Yanchep. With most of their family residing on the other side of the world, they created a profoundly personal ceremony that perfectly reflected their priorities.

A Day Filled with Personal and Heartfelt Touches

The couple's special day unfolded on October 7, 2025, at the stunning Yanchep Fisherman’s Hollow. The bride, Shayni, looked radiant in a stunning dress purchased online from Meshki. Her floral bouquet, however, held the most poignant detail of the day. It featured a memory bear and a necklace pendant that her mother had lovingly crafted from her late father's clothes, ensuring he was symbolically present to honour his memory.

Celebrating with Their Nearest and Dearest

The newlyweds expressed immense joy at having their two young daughters present to witness their union. The couple shared that even though their youngest required holding throughout the entire ceremony, it only added to the day's cherished, authentic feel. They heaped praise on their celebrant, Erin Lovell, for doing an incredible job, and also commended the work of their florist, Chloes Flower Room.

As for future plans, Shayni and Steven are yet to finalise their honeymoon. They envision it not as a solo trip, but as a family holiday with their two children, continuing the theme of togetherness that defined their wedding day.
