Brisbane Couple Invent World-First Stroller That Transforms into Carry-On Suitcase

A Brisbane couple has created what is being hailed as the world's first stroller that transforms into a carry-on suitcase. The TernX Carry-On Stroller, invented by engineer Tack Lee and physiotherapist Hoe Ping Lo, quickly converts from compact cabin-sized luggage into a stroller without requiring unpacking.

Weighing just 7.7 kilograms and made from lightweight aluminium and aviation-grade materials, the stroller meets the carry-on size requirements of most major airlines. It features an 18-litre suitcase attached to its back legs, allowing parents to keep essentials close during travel.

Hoe Ping Lo, co-founder of TernX, said the product was born from personal experience. 'As parents ourselves, we know the frustration of juggling luggage, prams, and tired kids through airports and city streets,' she said. 'TernX was born out of that experience. It's about giving families freedom, confidence, and more moments to enjoy the journey, not just the destination.'

The TernX has received a 4.8-star rating on its website and has been recognised as one of TIME Magazine's Best Inventions. It has also won multiple international design awards, including the Good Design Award. Randi Zuckerberg, former market development director of Facebook, praised the invention, saying it will 'change the game for travelling parents everywhere.'

The TernX Carry-On Stroller is available in Australia for $997, but limited stock means interested buyers may need to act quickly.
