Perth's Specialist Cavoodle Walker Leads Adorable Pack at Lake Gwelup

Tess Arnoldi, the sole specialist oodle dog walker in Western Australia, has been turning heads and drawing smiles at Lake Gwelup with her delightful pack of eight cavoodles and one spoodle. The group, arranged neatly along a park bench like a paw-lice line-up, captivated passersby with their organised yet energetic antics during their stroll around the park, formerly known as Lake Monger.

A Career Inspired by Canine Companionship

Ms Arnoldi, who operates Perth Pet Palace, has spent the past seven years walking dogs across Perth's parks, and she notes that her furry charges rarely go unnoticed. "Everyone's always curious," she said. "Most people ask 'Are they all yours?' or say 'You've got your hands full!'" With the diverse personalities in her pack, those reactions are well-founded, as each dog brings unique traits to the daily walks.

Meet the Pack: Personalities on Parade

The pack includes a range of characters that make every outing memorable:

  • Rocky: The cheeky chatterbox who barks at random objects, like a teddy left in the park.
  • Freddie: The dirt enthusiast who loves rolling in mud, making post-walk lead handling an adventure.
  • Alexis Rose: Named after a Schitt's Creek character, this smoochy diva is the cuddly girl of the group.
  • Colby: Nicknamed the "Big Cheese," he has a one-track mind focused on playtime and balls.
  • Little Max: A tiny newcomer and little angel who, despite being only a few months old, walks better on lead than some older dogs and has perfect recall.
  • Benji: The kissy monster who spreads affection by kissing all the other dogs, whether they like it or not.
  • Ted-E: Ms Arnoldi's own eight-year-old cavoodle, the calm leader of the pack who doesn't mind sharing his owner and inspired her career change.
  • Effie: The sole spoodle and zoomies queen, who can switch from cuddle bug to park-racing rocket in moments.

The Joy of Letting Dogs Be Themselves

Ms Arnoldi emphasises that the walks are all about allowing the dogs to express their true selves. "It's their walk, not just mine," she said. This philosophy not only enriches the dogs' lives but also provides a daily dose of paws-itivity for park-goers, who often stop to admire the organised chaos and share in the joy. Her career, she credits to Ted-E, whose confident personality motivated her to pursue this unique path in pet care.
