Eggslut's Australian Debut: LA Burger Sensation Arrives at Crown Perth
LA's Eggslut to open first Australian venue in Perth

The famous Los Angeles gourmet food chain, Eggslut, is officially making its way down under, with its first Australian venue scheduled to open at Crown Perth in February 2026. The celebrated brand, known for its artisanal egg sandwiches and burgers, will launch under the new name Burgers by ES for its Australian debut.

From LA Food Truck to Global Phenomenon

Founded in 2011, Eggslut began as a simple food truck on the streets of Los Angeles. Its focus on high-quality, thoughtfully cooked ingredients quickly turned it into a cult favourite. The chain's popularity has since exploded, leading to a global expansion with locations now established on three continents, including in major cities like Las Vegas, London, Tokyo, and Kuwait.

The brand has even captured the attention of Hollywood, gaining notoriety when actress Brianna Howey revealed on Jimmy Fallon's show that her husband was at an Eggslut outlet while she was in labour.

The Perth Venture: Burgers by ES

The highly anticipated Perth location will be situated within the new Urban Food District at Crown Perth, representing the casino's most significant investment in the last decade. The reason for the name change to Burgers by ES is linked to previous legal disputes in Australia over the 'Eggslut' trademark, including a Queensland tribunal case back in 2018.

Patrons can look forward to enjoying the chain's world-famous menu items, such as the popular Gaucho burger, alongside new creations developed specifically for the Australian market. The restaurant promises to cater to cravings from early morning until late at night, featuring specialty burgers for all-day dining.

A New Dining Hub for Perth

The Urban Food District itself is a massive 2000 square metre development set to open in 2026. It will be a vibrant culinary destination, housing a dozen food outlets and bars, complemented by a dedicated beer garden.

Co-owner of Eggslut, Andy Lee, expressed his excitement about bringing the concept to Western Australia. He told PerthNow, "From our humble LA food truck beginnings to now, we've always believed that a simple ingredient cooked thoughtfully can create memorable moments." He described the opening as a celebration of good food and bold flavour, offering Australia a whole new breakfast-and-beyond experience.

Echoing this sentiment, Crown Perth CEO Brian Pereira confirmed the Urban Food District is on track for its 2026 opening. "We are delighted to continue to bring new international concepts and brands to our guests, whilst showcasing outstanding local vendors," he said, adding that they are excited to share the new venues with the public early in the new year.
