A devastating multi-vehicle crash on the South Coast has left two women in critical condition and a third injured, following a collision on the Princes Highway. The crash involved two vehicles: an SUV and a hatchback, which collided while travelling on the Princes Highway. Emergency services were alerted to the scene, near the intersection of Willowgreen Road, just after 4.45pm on Thursday, February 12. Upon arrival, paramedics provided immediate treatment to the occupants, and the road was closed in both directions to facilitate the response.
The driver of the hatchback, a 67-year-old woman, was treated at the roadside before being airlifted to St George Hospital in a critical condition. Her passenger, a 66-year-old woman, was also airlifted, taken to Liverpool Hospital, where she remains in a critical state. The driver of the SUV, a 64-year-old woman, was transported to Wollongong Hospital for further medical care and mandatory testing, with her injuries reported as less severe.

Light vehicles travelling southbound were diverted via Jervis Bay Road, while northbound traffic was redirected through Island Point Road. The Princes Highway eventually reopened just before 10pm on Thursday, restoring normal traffic flow after several hours of closure.
