A teenage boy has tragically lost his life and a young woman is fighting serious injuries following a horrific two-car collision in Mandurah on Sunday night.
Details of the Mandurah Road collision
WA Police report that the crash occurred at the intersection of Mandurah Road and Pinjarra Road around 10:15pm on Sunday, 18 January 2026. A beige Chrysler 300 sedan and a grey Ford Falcon sedan were involved in the collision at the busy junction.
The impact proved fatal for the 16-year-old male passenger travelling in the Chrysler. He was rushed by St John Ambulance to the nearby Peel Health Campus but could not be saved.
Injuries and police investigation
The 18-year-old female driver of the Chrysler sustained serious injuries in the crash. Paramedics transported her to Royal Perth Hospital, where she remains under care. In a contrasting outcome, the 34-year-old male driver of the Ford Falcon emerged physically unharmed from the incident.
Major Crash investigators have taken charge of the scene and the ongoing inquiry. The intersection remained closed in both directions for several hours as forensic officers meticulously examined the site for evidence.
