Perth motorists are facing a frustrating start to the week with significant traffic delays reported on Monday morning, November 25, 2025. A series of separate collisions on two of the city's major arterial routes, Roe Highway and Tonkin Highway, have brought traffic to a standstill during the peak commuter period.
Roe Highway Incidents Cause Gridlock
The traffic troubles began with a crash on Roe Highway westbound, just before South Street in the suburb of Canning Vale. The incident has resulted in the closure of the right lane, causing traffic to bank up significantly. Main Roads WA has confirmed that emergency services, including Police, Department of Fire and Emergency Services, and towing crews, are currently on the scene.
Traffic remains heavy on approach, with congestion stretching back past Kenwick Link. Authorities are urging drivers to approach the area with extreme caution.
Adding to the woes on Roe Highway, a second, separate collision occurred on the Roe Highway southbound section after Clayton Street in Bellevue. This incident has also blocked the right lane, further compounding delays along this crucial transport corridor.
Tonkin Highway Adds to Commuter Headaches
Meanwhile, motorists travelling on Tonkin Highway northbound are also experiencing major delays. A collision near Welshpool Road in Wattle Grove has blocked the right lane, causing congestion that is stretching back as far as Kelvin Road.
Emergency services, including tow trucks and paramedics, are in attendance at this scene as well, working to clear the obstruction and assist those involved.
