Deadly Crash in Como
In the early hours of Monday morning, a red Ford Falcon was traveling on Hayman Rd in Como when the driver lost control, slamming into a tree just before 12.30am, according to WA Police. Emergency services arrived to find the vehicle still smoking at the scene.
A 34-year-old male passenger was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital with life-threatening injuries but tragically succumbed to his wounds late on Monday afternoon. The driver, a 45-year-old man, was also transported to the same hospital, where he is being treated for serious injuries.

The road was shut down for several hours as authorities conducted their initial response. Major Crash investigators have now launched a full inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the accident and are appealing to the public for any information that could shed light on what went wrong.

Separate Incident in Jindalee
In a separate but equally alarming event, a woman in her 70s narrowly escaped serious injury after her Toyota Yaris drove off a beach lookout in Jindalee, an outer coastal suburb in Perth's north. The incident occurred just before 5am on Monday, with the car plunging meters down an embankment.
Firefighters assisted the woman from the vehicle, and she was taken to Joondalup Health Campus for a medical check-up. Friends reported that she is miraculously doing okay, with one witness noting, "It's a huge drop and I won't fancy going down there myself, that's for sure. Amazing news that she's OK. Could've been a lot worse."
