Two motorcycle riders have been rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a major collision with a car in Perth's south-eastern suburbs on Tuesday morning.
Early Morning Collision on Busy Road
Emergency services were called to Welshpool Road in Wattle Grove just before 6.40am on Tuesday, 16 December 2025 after reports of a serious crash. The incident occurred near the intersection with Lewis Road.
Initial reports indicate that a blue Bolwell motorcycle and a black Honda Civic were involved in the collision. The force of the impact required a significant emergency response to the scene.
Riders Rushed to Royal Perth Hospital
Both men on the motorcycle, the 34-year-old rider and his 34-year-old male passenger, sustained significant injuries. Paramedics treated them at the scene before transporting them to Royal Perth Hospital for further care.
A spokesperson confirmed that while their injuries were serious, they are not believed to be life-threatening. The driver of the Honda Civic, a 24-year-old man, was unharmed in the incident and remained at the scene to assist police.

The Major Crash Investigation Unit has taken charge of the inquiry into the cause of the early morning collision. Officers spent several hours at the scene on Welshpool Road, examining evidence and speaking to potential witnesses.
