Police have made a grim discovery in a Sydney carpark, finding a man bound and suffering from stab wounds inside the boot of a car.

Sinister Discovery in Villawood

Emergency services were called to a carpark on Woodville Road in Villawood at approximately 6.50am on Sunday after receiving reports raising concern for a person's welfare. Officers from the Bankstown Police Area Command were the first to respond to the scene.

Victim Treated at the Scene

Upon arrival, police located a Toyota sedan. Upon inspection, they found a man, believed to be aged in his 30s, inside the vehicle's boot. The man was tied up and had sustained multiple stab wounds.

Paramedics treated the victim at the location before transporting him to a nearby hospital. Authorities have confirmed the man remains in a stable condition as he receives further medical care.

Investigation Launched

Detectives have established a comprehensive crime scene at the Villawood carpark as they begin their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the violent incident. A forensic examination of the Toyota sedan is underway.

Inquiries are ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information, or who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the Woodville Road area early on Sunday morning, to come forward.
