Violent Morning Commute Ends in Assault and Criminal Damage

Western Australia Police have charged a 31-year-old Ascot man following the wild altercation that occurred at approximately 9am on Monday at the Roe Highway off-ramp in Welshpool.
The Alleged Sequence of Events
According to police reports, the incident began when a Toyota Corolla was travelling along Roe Highway and was allegedly tailgated by a silver Ford Focus.

The alleged attackers used a pole to shatter several windows of the victim's vehicle in what witnesses described as a frightening display of aggression during peak morning traffic.
Charges Laid and Court Date Set
The 31-year-old Ascot man now faces multiple serious charges including criminal damage, being armed in a way that may cause fear, and assault occasioning bodily harm.
The accused has been scheduled to appear in the Armadale Magistrates Court on January 22 to answer to these charges.
Police confirmed that a second person who was assisting with their investigation has been released pending further inquiries. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
