Perth Jimmy Barnes Concert: Major Transport Changes & All-Ages Event Alert

West Australian music fans planning to attend Jimmy Barnes' highly anticipated concert this Saturday have been issued important warnings about significant transport alterations and venue policy changes. The Australian rock legend will perform at Sandalford Wines in Caversham as part of his Working Class Man 40th Anniversary Tour, but attendees need to prepare for disruptions to their usual travel plans.

Transport Disruptions Due to Midland Line Redevelopment

Event organisers have confirmed that ongoing redevelopments to the Midland Line will create substantial traffic hurdles for concertgoers. The most notable impact is the complete closure of shuttle bus services from Guildford train station, which would typically provide convenient transport to the venue.

The only available shuttle option will be Buswest transfers operating directly to and from the Sandalford Wines estate. Concert attendees can purchase bus tickets through all stops in Perth and Peel regions via the TicketMaster website until 3pm on Friday. After online sales conclude, bus passes will still be available for purchase directly from the Buswest office in Cockburn on Saturday.

Sandalford Wines CEO Grant Brinklow emphasised that taking the bus represents the optimal way to enjoy the concert experience. "The buses depart 20 minutes after the concert ends and our guests can forget the drive and focus on enjoying the experience," he explained, highlighting the convenience of leaving transportation logistics to professionals.

Venue Changes: First All-Ages Event at Sandalford

Transport adjustments aren't the only changes awaiting concert attendees. Mr Brinklow revealed that, unlike previous concerts held at the estate, Jimmy Barnes' show will be an all-ages event. This marks the first time children under 18 will be permitted to attend a concert at Sandalford Wines.

"As a licensed event, alcohol will be available to patrons over 18 years, and anyone who looks under the age of 25 may be asked for ID," Mr Brinklow cautioned. He strongly urged all attendees to bring valid photo identification with them to ensure smooth entry and compliance with licensing requirements.

Revised Schedule and Supporting Acts

The venue gates will open at 2pm on Saturday, which represents a one-hour delay compared to typical Sandalford Wines concert schedules. The musical entertainment will commence with John Rooney taking the stage at 3.20pm, followed by performances from Kate Ceberano and Ian Moss.

Great Southern Land rockers Icehouse will perform at 6.35pm, setting the stage for the main event. Australian music icon Jimmy Barnes will finally take the spotlight at 8.15pm to deliver his highly-anticipated setlist, celebrating four decades of his Working Class Man anthem and career.

Concert organisers recommend that attendees plan their journeys carefully, considering the transport limitations and allowing extra time for entry procedures given the expected larger crowd including families with younger music fans.
