Touchdown in Bon Scott's Hometown
The private jet carrying the rock icons touched down at Perth Airport, bringing the band back to the city that spawned their original frontman, the late, great Bon Scott. The current lineup, including lead guitarist Angus Young, vocalist Brian Johnson, rhythm guitarist Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug, and bassist Chris Chaney, disembarked looking relaxed in casual attire suited to the warm weather.
Fans gathered at the airport were treated to a glimpse of their heroes, with drummer Matt Laug easily spotted in a red cap and blue sunglasses. The band didn't linger long, quickly heading to their luxury riverfront accommodation after a brief moment where one member was seen lighting a cigarette.
Power Up Tour Hits Optus Stadium
The band is set to electrify Optus Stadium on Thursday, December 4, and again on Monday, December 8. Both shows are scheduled to kick off at 8:30 PM, promising a heart-pounding setlist packed with anthems. Fans can expect to hear classics like Highway to Hell, Thunderstruck, and T.N.T. reverberate around the stadium.
The Perth leg of the tour will feature strong local support, with Amyl and The Sniffers and Southern River Band warming up the crowd. The Power Up tour has already stormed through Melbourne, Sydney, and Adelaide to rapturous receptions since it began on November 12.
