Circular Fashion Advocate Camryn Tucci Launches First Permanent Store with Mother
Camryn Tucci, a champion of circular fashion, has transitioned from hosting regular preloved fashion markets to opening her inaugural bricks-and-mortar store, Revive Preloved, in partnership with her mother, Kylie Crane. This significant move marks a pivotal step in her journey to make sustainable fashion a full-time career, moving beyond what she once considered a hobby.
From Pop-Up Markets to a Permanent Shopfront
Starting in late 2023, Camryn and Kylie initiated the Revive preloved clothing markets in Barwon Heads, which quickly gained popularity, attracting sellers like fashion influencer Brit Selwood. By the end of 2025, these markets were held monthly, with the next event scheduled for April 12 in Barwon Heads. However, Camryn envisioned a more consistent presence for preloved fashion, leading to the opening of Revive Preloved in Manifold Heights this week.
Camryn Tucci faces a personal challenge as a fashion enthusiast turned business owner, joking about the difficulty of not keeping items for herself. "It's going to be very hard. I think I'm going to have to have an ongoing rack where I'll just buy things and I'll just have to wear them and sell them," she laughed during an interview at the Shannon Ave store.
Meeting Local Demand for Sustainable Fashion
The decision to open a permanent store stemmed from the overwhelming local demand for quality preloved fashion, both for buying and selling. Camryn explained, "What started as pop-up events quickly showed there was real demand locally for quality preloved fashion, both to buy and to sell, which led me to take this big – and slightly nerve-racking – leap into a bricks-and-mortar space." She emphasized that Revive Preloved offers a unique niche by accepting a wide range of items, unlike consignment stores that focus only on high-end pieces.
At Revive Preloved, clothing is not curated; anyone can apply for a rack, with a focus on high-quality, preloved pieces. Camryn and Kylie believe the shop will "naturally curate itself" through community participation. Sellers rent racks and pay a 15% commission on sales, with an initial online call generating 350 expressions of interest and immediate bookings.
Store Details and Community Impact
The store features 28 racks available for rent, with a minimum booking of five days and a maximum of three racks per seller. An app allows sellers to monitor sales and adjust their offerings accordingly. The first sellers range in age from 21 to 60, including several mother-daughter duos like Camryn and Kylie.
Located at Shop 2, 127 Shannon Ave, Manifold Heights, Revive Preloved is situated in a vibrant area with businesses like Frankie Say Relax and Funk cafe, giving it an inner Melbourne vibe. Kylie noted, "I'm a Melbourne girl but that's what I get from here. I guess that's where we're aiming with that target market." The store offers a diverse selection, from high-end brands like Zimmerman to everyday wear, all emphasizing quality and cleanliness.
Revive Preloved is open from Tuesday to Saturday, providing a sustainable fashion option five days a week, which Camryn highlights as better for the environment compared to monthly markets. For more information, visit revivepreloved.com.au or follow @revive_preloved on Instagram.
