Robert and Terri Irwin Share Health Update on Bindi Amid Endometriosis Battle
Robert and Terri Irwin Give Health Update on Bindi Irwin

Robert and Terri Irwin have provided an update on Bindi Irwin's health as she continues to battle endometriosis, following her notable absence from the annual Steve Irwin Gala.

Bindi's Recovery Progress

Bindi's brother and mother revealed that the 27-year-old wildlife conservationist is on the mend after she candidly spoke about the 'inescapable pain' caused by the illness she has faced over the past three years.

'Bindi is doing so much better now,' Terri told E! News in a joint interview with Robert at the 3rd Steve Irwin Gala, held at the Bellagio in Las Vegas over the weekend.

'So, things like a lot of travel are a bit challenging for her at the moment, and so she'll be here next year to celebrate this wonderful night.'

'This year she's just staying a little close to home,' she added. 'So, ironically, it's less taxing for her to be home feeding crocodiles.'

Robert chimed in: 'You gotta remember (in) Australia Zoo, there's 500 in our team, there's about 500,000 acres of conservation land that we have. Someone's got to hold down the fort. So, Bindi's doing a great job at that.'

This update comes after Bindi also missed the 2025 gala following an emergency hospitalisation for a ruptured appendix requiring surgery.

Bindi's Endometriosis Journey

Bindi, who shares five-year-old daughter Grace with husband Chandler Powell, took to social media in March to open up about living with the chronic disease, where tissue similar to the uterus lining grows outside it and causes inflammation.

'Trying to keep my invisible illness to myself after being told by doctors it was just 'part of being a woman,'' Bindi captioned a March 30 Instagram post alongside photos of herself in a hospital bed.

'I spent 10 years being undiagnosed. As a teenager and young woman, I felt weak and deeply insecure. I was trapped in my own body.'

'No one deserves to suffer in silence.'

'If you're in pain, my heart breaks for you. I believe you. Please find answers. And don't give up on yourself. I know how hard that can be.'

The Dancing With The Stars US season 21 winner has previously revealed she had 50 lesions 'cut out' of her body over the years.

During her hospital trip to remove her appendix, 14 endometriosis lesions were discovered, and a surgeon also had to repair a hernia acquired during the birth of her daughter.

Bindi first revealed she had been diagnosed with endometriosis in 2023.
