Mix 94.5's Pete & Kymba Launch 'The Mole' Segment

Mix 94.5's Pete and Kymba for Breakfast have launched their new segment called The Mole, which sees one member on the radio team secretly selected to sabotage the show at any moment.

Chaos and Sabotage on Air

The breakfast team, consisting of Pete, Kymba, and producers Brooke and Ringo, will take their listeners on a chaotic ride after one team member was chosen to be The Mole without anyone else knowing who it is. The Mole will try to sabotage the show in any way possible over the next two weeks.

The Reveal

During the show on Thursday morning, the foursome each received an envelope that would tell each person whether or not they are, in fact, the chosen one. Between Brooke getting “nervous and sweaty” and Ringo “on edge”, each radio personality opened their respective envelope one by one. Each member took turns at saying they were not The Mole, with listeners then flooding the phone line to give their take on who they think The Mole is based on each member’s delivery of the statement.

Brooke tried to convince listeners she was “relieved” to find out she wasn’t The Mole, while Ringo tried his best not to burst out laughing while saying the all-important line. Kymba managed to get the line out, but Brooke was quick to say, “I don’t believe you!” Meanwhile, Pete was “shaking and really nervous” when it came to his turn but had trouble saying “I’m not The Mole” convincingly. “Your career on Home and Away is not happening,” Kymba joked.

Listeners React

The phone line popped off with several listeners calling in to say who they thought wasn’t telling the truth. Pete reassured that the chaos was “just beginning” and encouraged Perth to listen over the next two weeks as the unidentified mole wreaks havoc on the show.
