Jules Neale has broken her social media silence for the first time since the public confirmation of her separation from her AFL star husband, Brisbane Lions co-captain Lachie Neale.
First Social Media Post Since Separation Confirmation
In a video shared online, Jules was seen crafting with friends around a table. The caption accompanying the post read: “This is your sign to get the girls together and manifest your 2026 vibes.” The vision board featured in the clip contained several hopeful affirmations, including “good things are coming,” “I attract love” and “the love I deserve is on its way.”
Neale's Public Apology and Captaincy Step Down
The post follows a significant press conference held on Friday, where Lachie Neale, a dual Brownlow medallist, addressed the personal crisis. He confirmed the couple's separation with regret. “I can confirm that with regret Jules and I have now separated,” Neale stated. He publicly apologised to his wife and family, acknowledging he had let them down.
Neale expressed deep remorse for his actions, stating he was “extremely disappointed” in himself and took “full responsibility” for the relationship's end. As a consequence, he announced he would be stepping down from his role as co-captain of the Brisbane Lions to focus on his personal life.
Background of the Split and Moving Forward
The rift became public just days before Christmas, when Jules posted on Instagram that she had been “betrayed in the most unimaginable way.” She clarified she was not “working through” issues, as had been reported, and her focus was on healing and her children.
Since then, Jules has removed her husband and former close friend, influencer Tess Crosley, from her Instagram account. Reports indicate she has relocated to Perth with the couple's two young children, four-year-old Piper and one-year-old Freddie. Perth is where Lachie Neale began his AFL career with the Fremantle Dockers.
In his statement, Neale said his priority is now on “rebuilding trust with Jules and the future wellbeing of our children.” He also requested privacy for his family as they navigate this new chapter. “I understand as a public figure there is interest in my personal life, however I do ask the privacy of Jules and my children be respected,” he said.
