Jules Neale's Instagram Comment to Friend Tess Crosley Revealed Amid AFL Marriage Drama
Jules Neale's Comment to Friend Tess Crosley Revealed

The personal life of AFL star Lachie Neale and his wife Jules has taken another public turn, with the revelation that Jules's pointed Instagram comment was directed at their close friend, Tess Crosley.

Public Statement of Betrayal and a Private Demand

Jules Neale, the Perth-born hairstylist married to Brisbane Lions champion Lachie Neale, made her feelings starkly clear on social media on Friday, December 22, 2025. She forcefully contradicted reports that she was "working through" issues in her marriage.

"I want to make it very clear that I am not 'working through' anything," Jules wrote. "I have been betrayed in the most unimaginable way. All I can do now is to heal and do what's best for my children."

The situation escalated just a day later when a screenshot emerged of a now-deleted comment Jules left on an Instagram post. The comment read, "Take these (pictures) down..." It can now be confirmed this demand was posted on the account of her once-close friend, Tess Crosley.

A Friendship Unravels Online

The post in question, still live on Crosley's Instagram, features twelve photos from the celebration of the Brisbane Lions' 2023 AFL grand final win at the MCG. The images show Crosley, her husband Ben, Jules, and Lachie Neale celebrating together.

This digital interaction points to a significant rift between the former friends. Jules and Tess Crosley have since unfollowed each other on the platform. Furthermore, Jules has scrubbed her own Instagram profile of photos featuring the Crosleys and has also unfollowed her husband, Lachie. Notably, Lachie still follows Jules's account, and her photos remain on his profile.

Despite the unfollows, Tess Crosley's Instagram feed remains a gallery of the couples' past friendship, containing numerous posts showing them holidaying together and socialising with their children.

Moving Trucks and Past Sacrifices

The latest developments coincide with reports of a moving truck being spotted at the Neale family home in Brisbane. The pair have lived in Queensland since Lachie's high-profile trade from the Fremantle Dockers to the Lions in 2018.

The apparent breakdown stands in stark contrast to Lachie's public appreciation for his wife's sacrifices. During his emotional 2020 Brownlow Medal acceptance speech, he highlighted how Jules sold her successful Perth salon to move across the country for his career.

"She was doing very well for herself over there but she always puts me ahead of herself when she shouldn't have to," Lachie said at the time. "She's the most selfless person I know and my biggest support."

The couple, married since 2018, share two young children: four-year-old Piper and one-year-old Freddie. As the story continues to unfold, PerthNow has sought comment from Tess Crosley.
