Police are appealing for public assistance after a school traffic warden was assaulted and robbed outside Rossmoyne Primary School on Tuesday morning.
Attack on Elderly Warden
The 87-year-old warden was managing the crosswalk on Third Avenue, where the school is located, when an unknown male pushed him to the ground at approximately 9:35 am. The assailant then stole the victim's hat and whistle before fleeing in a vehicle described as a black Toyota Prado.
Witnesses rushed to help the victim, and police later arranged medical assistance through St John WA.
Suspect Description
Cannington Detectives described the attacker as being between 17 and 19 years old, approximately 183 cm tall, with a dark complexion, a black mullet hairstyle, and earrings.
