A violent domestic abuser who set his wife on fire has lost his appeal and been handed additional jail time. Peter Moiler, described as a monster by prosecutors, was convicted of the horrific attack that left his wife with severe burns. The West Australian reported on Monday, 11 May 2026, that Moiler's appeal against his sentence was dismissed by the court. Instead of reducing his time behind bars, the court increased his jail term, sending a strong message against domestic violence.
