Comedian and actress Amy Schumer has set social media alight with a series of candid, joyful photos, prompting an outpouring of support from her famous friends. The Trainwreck star shared the images to mark a new chapter focused on self-care and self-love, following her divorce from Chris Fischer in December.
A Celebration of Health and Moving Forward
On Monday, Schumer posted a slideshow of happy pictures taken at home while she was packing for a trip. The photos featured her smiling widely in various outfits, including red and black bikinis, dresses, and a silky loungewear set. The final shot showed her at the airport, ready for her journey.
"My mum took these photos of me while I was packing for a trip. And the last photo I'm on the trip," she explained in the caption. Her message was one of positivity and resilience: "This year is about self-care and self-love. No makeup. No filter."
She encouraged her followers to appreciate their health, families, and friends, aiming for "the best year of our lives." Schumer concluded with, "Moving forward with no regrets. Just love," and included the hashtags #perimenopause and #csection, having previously been open about her C-section scar after the birth of her son, Gene, in May 2019.
Star-Studded Support and Personal Health Journey
The inspiring post immediately drew love from Schumer's celebrity circle. Model Paris Hilton reacted with a heart-eyed emoji, while Jennifer Coolidge (White Lotus) exclaimed, "Wow! WOW WOW!! Go Amy!!! XO."
Jennifer Love Hewitt added, "Yess! Have always loved you! Happiness and self love all the way!" and Courteney Cox simply stated, "You are gorgeous Amy!"
This display of self-acceptance comes one month after Schumer confirmed she had lost over 20 kilograms (approximately 50 pounds). She has been transparent about her health journey, which has included liposuction, trying Ozempic, and currently using the weight-loss medication Mounjaro.
In a December Instagram post, she clarified her motivation: "I didn't lose 30 lbs, I lost 50. Not to look hot, which does feel fun and temporary. I did it to survive." She also stated she does not use Botox or filler.
An Amicable Split and a Family Focus
Schumer's new focus on self-love follows her divorce from husband Chris Fischer after seven years of marriage. She announced the split on Instagram in December, stressing it was amicable.
"Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years," she wrote. "We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son." She asked for privacy for their family.
Always the comedian, Schumer added a humorous note to quash rumours, saying the divorce was "not because I dropped some lbs and thought I could bag a basket and not because he's a hot James Beard award-winning chef who can still pull some hot tail." She reaffirmed the separation was with "all love and respect" and that they remain "family forever."
Through her photos and candid captions, Amy Schumer continues to champion body positivity and mental wellbeing, turning a personal period of change into a public message of empowerment.
