More than two hundred art enthusiasts secured tickets for a completely sold-out evening celebrating the launch of internationally recognised artist Cher van Schouwen's latest solo exhibition. The vibrant opening night for Emergence transformed Gallery 360 in West Leederville into a hub of creative energy on November 13, 2025.
A Year of Authentic Creation
Van Schouwen dedicated an entire year to the project, meticulously crafting more than 25 individual pieces that form the compelling Emergence collection. The artist has described the resulting body of work as her most authentic and emotionally charged to date, representing a significant personal and professional milestone.
An Evening of Art and Philanthropy
Guests were treated to an immersive experience that blended visual art with live poetry and musical performances. The sophisticated atmosphere was complemented by delicious canapés and fine Flametree Wines. In a highlight of the evening, one fortunate attendee won a stunning pearl necklace, generously donated by renowned jeweller Kailis.
Beyond the celebration of art, the event served a greater purpose, acting as a fundraiser for Homeless Healthcare. This vital Perth-based charity provides medical support and works to establish pathways to secure housing for people experiencing homelessness.
A Celebrated Opening Night
The successful opening underscores the strong community support for local artists and charitable causes in Perth. The sold-out status and the attendance of over 200 guests highlight the significant anticipation and interest in van Schouwen's new work, marking a standout event in the city's cultural calendar.
