April Shopping List: Cosy Sheets, Running Gear, Fashion Finds

As the weather turns cooler, thoughts naturally drift towards cosy comforts. New bed sheets, a warm jacket, and a cookbook to inspire home cooking are top of mind. My shopping list this month reflects this seasonal shift.

1. Bonny Queen Bed Sheets

Bonny, the company behind Australia's viral doonas, has launched an updated colour range for its recently released bed sheets. New shades include dusty pink, honeycomb, charcoal grey, chocolate brown, and forest green. The five-piece winter range is designed to complement the original summer colours, allowing customers to mix and match. Founder and CEO David Zwier said, 'As soon as we launched our first range, the response was instant. Aussies wanted more colours and variety to build bed sets unique to their style.' I opted for white and forest green, and the cosy palette feels perfect for cooler months. The new range launches today, April 30.

Other home buys I'm loving

  • Carl Friedrik Aluminium Carry-On, $845: Premium anodised aluminium luggage, hard-wearing and stylish.
  • Circa Mother's Day Value Bundle, $135: Limited edition Cherry Blossom & Green Tea, Cotton Flower & Freesia, and Lychee & Rose scents for home and self-care.

2. Garmin Heart Rate Monitor

With a half marathon this weekend and Sydney Marathon training ahead, I'm serious about tracking my running metrics. The Garmin Heart Rate Monitor ($299, Amazon Australia) provides accurate heart rate and HRV data to compatible Garmin smartwatches and cycling computers. It's more effective than my regular watch for tracking workouts, and the strap is comfortable even on long runs. I've had no issues with erratic readings. This is a great addition for serious runners.
