Perth fuel prices drop again, nearing pre-war levels

Perth motorists can rejoice when fuel prices drop again come Sunday, as the bowser edges closer to pre-Middle East war prices.

In a welcome sight following months of turmoil, Perth’s average price for unleaded petrol is set to clock in at 180.6¢ a litre according to FuelWatch WA - the cheapest average in 47 days.

Drivers in the metro area can hunt a bargain at Liberty Beckenham. The city’s cheapest servo will charge motorists as little as 159.3¢ a litre for ULP.

United boasts the title as the state’s most affordable retailer on Sunday at an average of 173.6¢ a litre, while Vibe tails closely behind offering 174.9¢ a litre.

Despite a drop, 7-Eleven’s average of 185.7¢ a litre remains Perth dearest compared to its competitors.

While a majority of outlets will lower costs at the bowser, Ampol and Reddy Express remain stagnant from their Saturday prices, at 180¢ and 182.3¢ a litre respectively.

Most servo’s in Perth’s metro will have ULP prices below the dreaded $2 mark which has become a common sight since the Middle East war began.

Diesel will see a slim, albeit lower drop, from Saturday’s 248.3¢ average down to Sunday’s projection of 247.6¢ a litre.

Liberty Beckenham will be a popular servo, offering the State’s cheapest diesel on Sunday as well at a rarely seen 215.3¢ a litre.

Petrol prices see little change in the regions outside marginal dips for Albany, Busselton and Karratha.
