Former students of Woonona High School gathered for their 50-year reunion at the Lagoon Restaurant on Saturday, October 25. The event brought together 45 attendees, including alumni who traveled from Western Australia, Tasmania, Queensland, and Victoria.
Organizer and former student Sue Atkinson described the night as wonderful and said it went 'fabulously.' She noted that everyone had a great time catching up and making up for lost time. The reunion featured a DJ named Gino, who played songs from 1975.
Woonona High School historically enrolled students from Woonona Public, Woonona East Public, Towradgi, Russell Vale, Bellambi, and St Josephs schools. Atkinson shared old class photos to commemorate the occasion.
