A 15-year-old boy has been charged with murder following a stabbing that killed a man in his 30s in Concord, Sydney's inner-west, early Saturday morning.
Police were called to a home on Spring Street at approximately 12:30am after reports of a stabbing. Officers found the victim with stab wounds to his torso outside a house.
Superintendent Christine McDonald said the teenager and his mother approached police, leading to the boy's arrest. He was taken to Burwood Police Station, charged, and refused bail, scheduled to appear before a children's court on Sunday.
The victim has not yet been formally identified, and police are unsure if there is any relationship between the pair. A knife was recovered at the scene, and a car linked to the victim has been seized for investigation.
Superintendent McDonald emphasized that no one involved lived at the Spring Street address and urged young people not to carry knives. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
