Bikie Squad Hits 90 Alleged Bandidos in Hunter Sting

The New South Wales Police bikie squad has conducted a major operation targeting 90 alleged outlaw motorcycle club members and associates in Port Stephens and the Hunter Valley.

Operation Details

On Saturday, April 25, officers from the Raptor Squad, local police, traffic and highway patrol, and the dog unit executed an operation aimed at combating anti-social behaviour, traffic offences, and organised crime.

Police established traffic stops in Beresfield and Salt Ash, where 90 Bandidos members and associates were subjected to road compliance inspections, roadside breath testing, and drug testing.

Results of the Operation

The operation yielded the following results:

  • 86 traffic infringements issued
  • 32 major vehicle defects detected
  • 57 person searches conducted
  • 19 vehicle searches carried out
  • 6 positive drug tests recorded

Raptor Squad commander Detective Acting Superintendent Brad Abdy emphasised that the operation was part of an ongoing strategy to disrupt and dismantle outlaw motorcycle gangs across the state.

"Operations like this don't happen overnight," he said. "They require meticulous planning, strong intelligence, and seamless coordination across multiple units."

"We want the community to know that we are actively targeting those who think they can intimidate or operate outside the law."

"NSW police will keep applying pressure until these groups understand that there is no safe haven for their activities."
