Champion jockey William Pike has been inducted into the Western Australian Racing Hall of Fame, an honour that came just hours before he guided Western Empire to victory in the Belmont Sprint.

The induction ceremony took place at Ascot Racecourse, where Pike was recognised for his outstanding contributions to the sport. Pike, a multiple Group 1 winner, has been a dominant figure in WA racing for over a decade.
