Man to face court for knife threat at bus stop

A man is set to appear in a Fremantle court after allegedly threatening a group of people with a knife at a bus stop in Perth's southern suburbs.

The incident occurred at a bus stop on Lyon Road in Aubin Grove on Tuesday afternoon. Police allege the 28-year-old man approached a group and brandished a knife, making threats towards them.

Officers from the Fremantle Police District attended the scene shortly after receiving reports of the incident. The man was arrested without incident and later charged with possessing a weapon in a public place and making threats to cause harm.

He has been refused bail and is scheduled to face Fremantle Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 13 May 2026.
