Police in Western Australia have made a significant breakthrough in their crackdown on organised crime, seizing a cache of weapons and a large quantity of illegal drugs during a targeted raid on a suburban Perth home.
Vehicle Stop Leads to Major Discovery
The operation unfolded on Tuesday, 30 December 2025, when detectives from the specialised Mirrabooka Rapid High Harm Offender Response team stopped a vehicle in the area around 2:50pm. The stop was part of a proactive operation focusing on drug activity and high-volume crime within the Mirrabooka police district.
During a search of the car, officers allegedly discovered more than $6000 in cash and approximately 57 grams of methamphetamine. This discovery provided immediate grounds for further action.
Arsenal and Drugs Uncovered at Berkeley Court
Acting on the evidence found during the vehicle stop, police swiftly obtained and executed a Misuse of Drugs Act search warrant at a linked residence on Berkeley Court in Nollamara.
The subsequent search of the property allegedly uncovered a disturbing arsenal and a substantial drug haul. Among the items seized were:
- Three modified firearms and various types of ammunition.
- A double-barrel musket designed to fire ball bearings.
- An array of prohibited weapons, including spear guns, tasers, and crossbows.
- Approximately 1.2 kilograms of methamphetamines, alongside quantities of heroin, DMT, and cannabis.
- Several hazardous chemicals, which were safely removed by attending officers.
Charges Laid and Court Appearances Scheduled
As a direct result of the operation, two individuals now face a string of serious charges. A 39-year-old man from Nollamara has been charged with 15 offences, while a 33-year-old woman from Mindarie is facing 13 offences.
The charges include possessing a trafficable quantity of methamphetamine with intent to sell or supply, possessing stolen property, possessing prohibited drugs, and the unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition. Both accused have been remanded in custody following their arrest.
The man is scheduled to appear before the Perth Magistrate’s Court on 16 January, with the woman due to face the same court on 5 January.
