A fatal motorbike crash has claimed the life of a young rider on a Geelong road early on Saturday morning, with police probing the circumstances.
Crash Details
The rider, a 31-year-old Moolap man, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries where he later died, according to a spokeswoman from Victoria Police. Emergency services responded to reports of a crash on Portarlington Rd, Newcomb at about 1.45am.
Witness Account
Newcomb local Ana Marin said she heard a loud bang from her house on Baybreeze Close, which backs onto Portarlington Rd. She noted that when she got up at about 4.45am, police cars were still on the road.
