Police Investigate Suspicious Death in Inner-North Canberra
ACT Policing has launched a major investigation following the discovery of a man's body inside a residential unit in the inner-north suburb of Braddon. Emergency services were called to the scene on Lowanna Street late on Saturday night, responding to urgent reports of an injured person.
Late-Night Emergency Call
The incident unfolded shortly before midnight on Saturday. Authorities confirmed that the call for assistance was logged at approximately 11:35 pm. Upon arrival, both paramedics from the ACT Ambulance Service and police officers entered the unit, where they located the man. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the individual was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police have not yet publicly released the identity of the deceased man, stating that formal identification and next-of-kin notifications are ongoing. Inquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding his death are continuing.
Woman Assisting Detectives with Inquiries
A key element of the investigation involves a 37-year-old woman who was present inside the Lowanna Street unit when police arrived.
