Mandurah man faces drug, driving charges in Perth court

A 23-year-old man from Mandurah has been released on bail after facing a string of serious charges in a Perth court last week.

Multiple Charges Laid in Perth Court

Grant Clifford Brett Weeks appeared before Perth Magistrates Court last Friday, where he was formally charged. The charges stem from a series of alleged incidents in the Peel region during December and January.

The most serious driving charge relates to an event in Mandurah where Weeks is accused of being the driver of a vehicle that failed to comply with a direction to stop. Additional driving charges from December 22 include having no authority to drive, careless driving, and driving a vehicle with a forged, replica, or false plate.

Drug and Stealing Allegations

Beyond the traffic matters, the court heard allegations of drug-related activity. Weeks was charged with possessing methylamphetamine in Lakelands on January 8, as well as possessing drug paraphernalia and trespassing.

He also faces two counts of stealing, alleged to have occurred in Greenfields on December 30 and in Golden Bay on December 31.

Bail Granted Ahead of Mandurah Hearing

Presiding Magistrate Janelle Scutt granted Weeks bail under specific conditions. He was also required to provide a $1000 personal undertaking. No pleas were entered during this initial hearing.

The matter has been adjourned and is next listed to be heard at the Mandurah Magistrates Court on January 30, 2026. The purpose of the next listing is for the defendant to obtain legal advice.
