Perth Couple's Fairytale Wedding in Herne Hill Gum Tree Sanctuary
Perth Couple's Dream Wedding Among Gum Trees

A Perth couple who first connected on a dating app, unaware of their shared past, have celebrated their love with a uniquely personal wedding set among the iconic gum trees of Herne Hill.

From Dating App to "I Do"

Bethany Kelly, 27, and Cameron Kelly, 28, originally met through a modern romance avenue, only to later discover they had attended the same high school and their lives had intersected before. Their journey to the aisle culminated when Cameron proposed at Fremantle's historic Roundhouse in October 2023. Just two weeks after the engagement, the pair secured their dream venue, Aintree Cottage in Herne Hill, located in the scenic Swan Valley.

A Personal and Picturesque Celebration

The couple tied the knot on November 29, 2025, in a ceremony filled with heartfelt, family-led moments. Both mothers moved guests with spoken word poems, while Cameron's father and uncle performed a traditional Irish song during the signing of the marriage documents. A major highlight for the newlyweds was the ability to immerse themselves fully in the venue's serene atmosphere, staying in a cottage on the grounds surrounded by native gum trees, sheep, and chickens.

Style and Future Plans

Bethany knew instantly she had found 'the one', wearing the very first wedding dress she tried on from True Society by Tuscany Bridal. Cameron complemented her look in a suit from Joe Black. While their honeymoon plans are still being finalised, the couple are drawn to the idea of visiting Ireland and Europe, hoping to connect with Cameron's extended family overseas.

Their story is a beautiful example of a summer wedding in Western Australia, blending natural beauty with deeply personal touches to create a truly unforgettable day.
