Gordon Ramsay Walks Daughter Holly Down Aisle as Groom's Parents Miss Wedding
Holly Ramsay weds Adam Peaty amid family rift reports

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has proudly escorted his daughter, Holly Ramsay, down the aisle for her wedding to British Olympic champion Adam Peaty, in a ceremony overshadowed by reports of a family estrangement on the groom's side.

A Lavish Ceremony at Bath Abbey

The couple exchanged vows on Saturday at the historic Abbey Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, commonly known as Bath Abbey, in the United Kingdom. The event was a star-studded affair, with guests including the Beckham family. Holly arrived at the church alongside her famous father, followed by her mother, Tana, and siblings Megan, Jack, Matilda, Oscar, and Jesse.

Gordon Ramsay expressed his joy at gaining an "incredible son-in-law," calling himself "truly lucky." The couple had announced their engagement in September 2024, with Peaty sharing his excitement about joining the Ramsay family in a heartfelt social media post.

Notable Absences Point to Family Rift

Despite the celebrations, a cloud hung over the event due to the conspicuous absence of the groom's parents. Adam Peaty's mother and father were not in attendance, with reports indicating they are estranged from their son. The Sun reported that Adam's sister, Beth, was the only member of his immediate family present at the wedding.

The rumoured feud is said to have escalated recently after Peaty's mother, Caroline, was not invited to Holly's pre-wedding hen party, an event attended by former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham.

Speeches Hint at Underlying Tensions

During the wedding reception at Kin House in Kington Langley, Wiltshire, speeches from both the father of the bride and the groom appeared to reference the delicate family situation. According to reports, Gordon Ramsay made a pointed remark while praising his daughter's beauty and telling Adam he was a "lucky man."

He reportedly added, "Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to," before allegedly telling Holly, "Shame you don’t have the same." This was widely interpreted as a comment on the absence of Adam's parents.

In his own speech, the triple Olympic gold medallist Adam Peaty paid a significant tribute to his swim coach, Mel Marshall, describing her as "everything," "grounding and inspiring," and notably adding that she was just "like a mum."

Following the wedding, the groom signalled his new family ties by updating his Instagram name to Adam Ramsay Peaty, solidifying the union amidst the ongoing personal complexities.
