DJI has introduced two new beginner-friendly camera drones, the Lito 1 and Lito X1, designed for photography and videography enthusiasts who love to travel. The Lito 1 weighs just 249 grams, offers a flight time of 36 minutes on a single battery charge, and starts at $539. Its more advanced counterpart, the Lito X1, is priced from $619.
Key Features of the Lito Series
Both drones deliver high-quality aerial imagery and come equipped with omnidirectional obstacle sensing to enhance safety during flight. The Lito 1 features a 1/2-inch CMOS 48MP sensor, while the Lito X1 boasts a larger 1/1.3-inch 48MP CMOS sensor. Intelligent filming tools such as ActiveTrack, QuickShots, MasterShots, Hyperlapse, and Panorama are included, significantly reducing the learning curve for first-time drone pilots.
A DJI spokesperson commented: “The Lito Series features a multi-layered safety system designed with beginners in mind. The built-in omnidirectional vision system actively avoids obstacles like cliffs and walls, allowing creators to focus on the joy of flying from take-off to landing.” The Lito X1 takes safety a step further with forward-facing LiDAR, which uses pulsed laser light to measure distances and provides precise perception in complex environments.
Camera Capabilities
The Lito 1 has an f/1.8 aperture and can capture up to 8K-resolution photos and 4K-resolution video. The Lito X1, with its f/1.7 aperture, supports HDR video recordings with up to 14 stops of dynamic range and 10-Bit D-Log M. Both drones offer wind resistance up to 10.7 m/s, enabling stable flight and hovering in windy conditions. QuickTransfer allows file transfers of up to 50MB/s via Wi-Fi.
Pricing and Bundles
The DJI Lito 1 is available for $539, while the Fly More Combo costs $779 and includes the drone, three Intelligent Flight Batteries, a two-way charging hub, a shoulder bag, and extra propellers. The DJI Lito X1 retails for $619, with the Fly More Combo priced at $1,069. For more details, visit store.dji.com/au.
