A driver is in a critical condition in hospital after being thrown from his utility vehicle during a serious single-vehicle rollover in a suburban Canberra street on Friday night.

ACT Policing reported receiving multiple calls about an overturned dark-coloured Mitsubishi Triton ute on Fincham Crescent in Wanniassa. The incident occurred near St Anthony's Primary School at approximately 8:15 pm on Friday, December 20, 2025.
Officers arriving at the scene discovered the ute on its roof. The male driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, had been ejected during the collision. Bystanders, police, and paramedics from the ACT Ambulance Service provided immediate emergency care at the location before the man was transported to hospital in a critical condition.
Police Appeal for Key Witness and Dashcam Footage
While investigators spoke to several witnesses at the scene, they are particularly keen to locate one man who they believe saw the crash but departed before providing a statement. Authorities have issued a public appeal for this individual to come forward.
ACT Policing is also urging anyone else who may have witnessed the Mitsubishi utility travelling in the Wanniassa area prior to 8:15 pm, or who has relevant dashcam footage, to contact them. This information could be crucial to understanding the circumstances leading to the rollover.
