A 17-year-old girl has been hospitalised after being hit by a car in the southern Perth suburb of Myaree on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency Response on Leach Highway
The incident occurred just before 4:30pm on Wednesday, 3 December 2025, in the vicinity of Leach Highway and Marshall Road. Emergency services, including multiple ambulances and road traffic police, rushed to the scene following reports of a pedestrian collision.
The area is known for its cluster of fast-food outlets, and the teenager was struck in an alleyway near several of these stores, close to a Zambrero restaurant.
Hospitalisation with Non-Life Threatening Injuries
A spokesman for St John WA confirmed the girl was transported to Fiona Stanley Hospital for treatment. Her injuries, described as an upper leg injury, are believed to be serious but non-life threatening.
Police attended the location to manage traffic and begin initial investigations into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Community and Road Safety Reminder
While the investigation is in its early stages, the incident serves as a stark reminder for both drivers and pedestrians to exercise heightened caution, particularly in busy retail and fast-food precincts where foot and vehicle traffic often intersects.
The swift response from emergency services ensured the teenager received prompt medical attention. Authorities have not released further details about the driver or the exact cause of the incident at this time.
