Padbury e-bike crash sends two teens to hospital

Emergency Response on Whitfords Avenue

Emergency services were dispatched to Whitfords Avenue in Padbury at approximately 12:50pm on Saturday, 10 January 2026, after reports of a crash. Police confirmed that a car had collided with an e-bike which was carrying a teenage rider and a passenger.

Upon arrival, St John WA paramedics treated two injured adolescents at the scene—a boy and a girl. Both sustained injuries serious enough to require immediate hospital transport.

Teens Rushed to Royal Perth Hospital

The male rider, who suffered more severe injuries, was taken to Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) via ambulance under priority conditions. His female passenger was also injured and transported to the same hospital by ambulance, though under normal road conditions.

The incident has sparked renewed concerns about e-bike safety on suburban roads, particularly when carrying passengers.
