Police in Perth's eastern suburbs have issued a public appeal for information following a serious single-vehicle crash that left an elderly woman hospitalised over the weekend.
Details of the Lloyd Street Incident
The collision occurred on Saturday, 4 January 2026, at approximately 12:45pm. According to authorities, a blue Toyota Yaris sedan was travelling southbound on Lloyd Street in Midland. As it approached the intersection with Clayton Street, the vehicle left the road and collided with a traffic control light.
Emergency services, including police and ambulance crews, were quickly dispatched to the scene. The sole occupant of the vehicle, an 81-year-old woman, was treated at the location before being transported to St John of God Midland Hospital for further medical care.

The Road Policing Group North has taken charge of the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. The intersection, which was closed for investigation and cleanup, was reopened to traffic at 2:00pm on Saturday, just over an hour after the incident occurred.
