The warning specifically targets communities in Northam, Dowerin, Gingin, Wongan Hills, Armadale, and Beverley. Authorities have stated that people in these areas need to act now to ensure their safety, with the severe weather forecast to begin from late Wednesday morning and continue throughout the afternoon.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services is advising locals to secure their properties immediately. Outdoor furniture, trampolines, and other loose items must be tied down or moved indoors, as they could be picked up and thrown by the destructive winds, potentially causing damage to homes and property.
