Club officials believe the vandalism occurred sometime on Saturday night or in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The cubby house was a central feature for families, providing a safe and fun play area for kids while their parents watched games or volunteered. Its loss has sent a wave of sadness through the tight-knit Queenscliff community, which sees the club as a vital social hub.
Club's Plea for Support and Information
Queenscliff Football Netball Club president, Simon Torney, expressed his deep disappointment at the malicious act. He highlighted that the cubby was not just club property but a community asset built and maintained for everyone's enjoyment.

Firstly, they have reported the incident to Victoria Police and are urging anyone with information about the vandals to come forward. The club has set up a GoFundMe page with an initial target of $5,000 to replace the cubby. Mr. Torney emphasised that any surplus funds raised would be directed into other club facilities, ensuring the entire community benefits from the generosity.
