Peel Region to Honor Anzac Day with Dawn Services and Commemorations
Anzac Day services will be held across the Peel region this weekend, honoring service people, veterans, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. The commemorations will take place in Mandurah, Dawesville, and Pinjarra, featuring dawn services and gunfire breakfasts to pay tribute to the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.
Mandurah Anzac Day Commemoration Details
The City of Mandurah RSL sub-branch will host a dawn service at 5am on Mandurah's western foreshore at the Leighton Place War Memorial. This event honors the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps who died during the Gallipoli landing in World War I. Following the dawn service, a gunfire breakfast will be held at the war memorial from 7am to 9am, with the main service starting afterward at 10am.
Pinjarra Anzac Day Schedule
The Pinjarra RSL sub-branch will conduct a dawn service at 6am at the Pinjarra War Memorial on Henry Street. After the service, a gunfire breakfast will take place at 6.45am at the Pinjarra RSL, followed by a march on Main Street at 10.45am.
Dawesville Anzac Day Events
The Dawesville RSL sub-branch will hold its dawn service at 5.45am at the Dawesville War Memorial on Estuary Road. A gunfire breakfast will follow at 7am at the Port Bouvard Recreation & Sporting club.
