Police in Far North Queensland have launched a public appeal for help to find a teenage girl who has been missing from a Cairns suburb for over a week.
Urgent Search Underway
The 14-year-old was reported missing from the Manunda area on Friday, November 28. She was last seen by witnesses at approximately 2:30pm that day on Anderson Street, close to the intersection with Martyn and Severin Streets. Authorities confirm she has not made contact with family or friends since that sighting.
Description and Growing Concerns
The missing teen is described as a First Nations girl. She is approximately 150 centimetres tall with a slim build. She has dark brown hair and brown eyes.
Both the Queensland Police Service and the girl's family have expressed serious and growing concerns for her welfare. Investigators are urging the girl herself, or anyone who has seen her or has information about where she might be, to make immediate contact.
Community Assistance Vital
Police are continuing their investigations into her disappearance and emphasise that information from the local community could be crucial. They are asking residents in the Manunda and greater Cairns area to think back and report any potential sightings or relevant details, no matter how small they may seem.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police immediately.
