A tragic incident in Adelaide's northern suburbs has resulted in a woman's death and a murder charge for a man.
Police Respond to Domestic Assault Report
South Australia Police were called to a residence on West Avenue in Northfield shortly after 8:30 PM on Sunday evening. The call came in following reports of a domestic assault occurring at the property.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 36-year-old woman who was unconscious. Police immediately commenced CPR in an effort to revive her, but sadly, their attempts were unsuccessful, and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Man Arrested and Charged at the Scene
A 42-year-old man was arrested at the Northfield home without incident. He has since been formally charged with murder in connection with the woman's death.
The man was refused police bail overnight. He is scheduled to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday to face the serious charge.
